Today's Scrapbook Showcase features “Chihuly at Biltmore.” The exhibit showcases breathtaking large-scale glass sculptures in the historic gardens of Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. The exhibit continues through Oct. 7. Larry and Teresa Estepp visited the exhibit in July. The photos were taken and submitted by Teresa Estepp.
World-renowned American artist Dale Chihuly, widely recognized for revolutionizing the Studio Glass movement, has works of art featured in more than 200 museum collections worldwide.
“Since I was a little boy I always loved glass... One night, I melted some glass... and blew a bubble... Since that moment I have spent my life as an explorer searching for new ways to use glass and glassblowing to make forms and colors and installations that no one has ever created before...,” Chihuly said.
Special nighttime viewings are also available.
